A unique opportunity for young theatre makers aged 18-25
PACE are delighted to announce that in 2019 we will be introducing an exciting new practical talent development opportunity for emerging theatre makers / artists aged 18-25.
The programme is designed to bridge the gap between youth theatre and the professional theatre industry and will give young people the opportunity to develop professional theatre in a supported environment within Renfrewshire.
We are looking for 6 young performers / theatre makers and a technical stage management trainee to be part of this exciting new programme. Members will form a theatre company and develop an ambitious new show to be performed at Paisley Arts Centre and at the Edinburgh Fringe. You should have an interest in performing, devising, writing or physical theatre, or a specific interest in the technical aspects of theatre including design.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your creative practice, whilst devising an original piece of theatre that will be performed in both Renfrewshire and at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019. Experience is preferred but commitment, a desire to learn and an ability to work as part of an ensemble is essential. Rep Company artists will be mentored every step of the way by a PACE director and guest tutors.
We want to ensure this programme is as inclusive as possible and therefore a training bursary will be awarded to all Rep Company artists to help support you financially during this programme.
