PACE Writers’ Room – turning ideas into words and words into performances.
Are you S3+ with an interest writing for performance? Do you have an idea that you are desperate to get out?
Participants will explore various aspects of writing for performance through a series of exciting workshops and masterclasses throughout the year designed to get your creative juices flowing. You will develop a portfolio of writing skills and techniques, learn about story, how to create and develop characters and structure your ideas.
You will have the opportunity to create monologues, duologues, scenes, short plays and performance poetry or anything else that you fancy. You will also get to meet, work and socialise with likeminded creative individuals and inspire each other along the way. In June you will get a chance to showcase some of your work in a celebratory scratch night performance with young actors and performers from PACE.
Please note that the course is open to anyone with a passion for getting their ideas out into the world. Not all writers write with a notepad and pen or computer. We will support you to get your ideas out in a way that you feel comfortable with!
